My Story
I am Courtney Pomeroy, an artist, photographer, and adventurer. The beauty I find in wild and remote places makes me feel alive, and inspires me to draw and paint. I feel lucky to have lived in the Lake Tahoe region, Montana, and now Oregon - these places have gifted me with landscapes, wildlife, and experiences that are at the heart of my artwork. I hope that my art can serve as a reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the natural world - and to care for her.
I live in southern Oregon with my husband and our fur babies. When I’m not creating art, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, kayaking, the occasional fly fishing, and doing anything I can to get outdoors. I’ve always been captivated by the mountains more than anything - and the animals that inhabit them - but I’ve begun to truly fall in love with the Oregon coast as well. My favorite thing is to enjoy the outdoors alongside my dog and best hiking buddy, Osa.
You can find me drawing at coffee shops while drinking way too many cappuccinos. I’ve been drawing for over 15 years now and painting for about half of that. I often ask myself “what good can I put out into the world?” and while I don’t always have a profound answer to that question, I believe that making art is one way I can contribute.
I would love to hear from you!
